ROOM BLOCKS
At all hotels, ask for the 'Daner-Falerni room block' and book by March 7th, 2006 for the rates listed below.
Great website if you want to read user reviews of hotels: Trip Advisor (search for Miami Beach, FL or by hotel name)
The Palms (Wedding site)
3025 Collins Ave
(800) 550-0505
Miami Beach, FL 33140
We have blocked 10 rooms at this location at a rate of $289 Sat. Night /$239 Sun. Night.
Book by Date: March 7, 2006
Comments: The Palms is a beautiful resort hotel where the ceremony & reception will be held. The palms back yard has a pool and has direct beach access.
The palms is definitely a splurge, but if you want a pool and to be directly on the beach, this is the only hotel that we blocked that has both. Please keep in mind that the palms is about 15-20 blocks north of all the south beach 'action' which is about a $5 cab ride. Because of its northern location from all the restaurants and clubs it is also a lot quieter.
The Kent Hotel
1131 Collins Ave
(866) 826-KENT
Miami Beach, FL 33139
We have blocked 15 rooms at this location at a rate of $98/night
Book by Date: March 7, 2006
Comments: The Kent Hotel is located in the heart of Miami's Art Deco district, one block from the beach and close to Ocean Drive and tons of restaurants, shopping, clubs etc. Because it is right in the middle of downtown south beach it can also be a bit loud. If you're used to NYC street noise at night, it shouldn't be a problem, otherwise, you may want to choose one of the other hotel options.
The Crest Hotel Suites
1670 James Ave.
(305) 531-0321
Miami Beach, FL 33139
We have blocked 12 rooms at this location at a rate of $89.
Book by Date: March 7, 2006
Comments: The Crest Hotel is a nice, clean, simple and quiet hotel on a little street right off of Lincoln road. This is another good low-cost option, particularly if you think the Kent may be a bit too loud for you. We've reserved 9 standard rooms at $89 a night, 3 Studio-Suites at $110 a night and 3 One-Bedroom-Suites at $129 a night.
Please note we've heard that the pool isn't heated and doesn't get any direct sunlight- so don't let the pool be a deciding factor!
